A Dream Realized: PATH Academy to take over and renovate the former “Henry T. Cole Complex”
Trenton NJ
June 22nd 2021
A dream no less than 4 years in the making has finally become a reality. A proposal from The PATH Academy has been accepted from Hamilton Township for the complex renovation and rejuvenation.
The Henry T Cole Complex was a community staple that had been left to ruin and stood as an eye sore for years. In it’s prime it housed the Hamilton Football League and was the source of many great community memories and that’s what PATH Academy Owner TJ Malave wants to bring back and more.
Some programs are going to include NFL Flag, Ultimate Disc, Flyball and a host of other competitive sports. In addition to the league play there will be a host of other open community sports and open field times as well as co-sponsored community events.
PATH Academy owner and Athletic Director TJ Malave had this to say:
“Needless to say we are all excited. It’s been our mission since day 1 to secure this facility and bring it back to the community fully functional and better than ever. We have been using this space as an adjunct facility but we have always known it could be much more. The location and the infrastructure are suitable for us to bring some great, positive and fun programs back to the community that wants them. Its also exciting to be able to operate within our target recruiting market and have an in town facility to grow from. I know we have a lot of work ahead but it is all part of the greater journey we set out on years ago and we are ready for it. I look forward to building something lasting in the community and working with other community organizations to help the families in the area be successful and get access to resources.”
Plans are now being finalized and the bid process for renovations and landscaping is currently underway. If your community organization would like to add sports to your program please reach out.
