The dream of becoming a professional football player or coach is one that is shared by countless athletes across the world. This can be a daunting task for a number of reasons. Beyond the obvious competition for a limited amount of roster spots even the most talented athletes never get a chance because they lack access to a network or program. This is where the PATH Academy “ProPATH” steps in.
Traditionally unless an athlete or aspiring coach goes to a collegiate program or has close ties with agents or scouts, it can be virtually impossible to be seen by credentialed certified scouts and agents. The “ProPATH” program is designed to assist with this crucial element and more.
Working in partnership with MFE Elite Sports Management the “ProPATH” Program aims to help players who show commitment to the professional program standards our program demands. We want to be here for serious athletes that are committed to their craft that understand that professional organizations require not only high skill but high character and commitment. Our program gives the scouts at MFE a direct look at the kind of player and person they are seeking to get on and off the field. The agents at MFE have placed players and coaches in leagues from the NFL, CFL, AAL, IFL, CIF, NAL to Mexico and overseas. There’s a lot of football out there and they work hard to get their clients paid and in the best situation possible.
PATH Academy Owner TJ Malave had this to say:
“ We are all very excited about this partnership. I’ve gotten a chance to know Buddy and some of his staff and they are genuine and experienced good people. At the end of the day you want to work with people who take their craft as seriously and you do and share a common energy. That’s the feeling we get here and I’m confident we can be a major resource for the community at large and athletes looking for a shot. The shift to a pro developmental focus doesn’t mean we aren’t welcoming hard working guys that are out here for the love of the game, it just means that the environment they will find themselves in will be much more demanding than your average semi pro organization. These and a host of other measurable factors from on field play to character will be considered. The concentration has been about building a pro mentality from acquiring Coach Turk, to getting our own facility and now formalizing our relationship with a well connected and experienced sports agency. Rest assured we will continue to push for more resources but we feel we have put together some great pieces and look forward to it blossoming!”
