Hamilton New Jersey -

A new season brings a new direction for the Path Academy Pirate offense. Coach Jeff Cupitt takes over the offensive coordinator role after serving on the defensive side in 2019. Coach Cupitt followed the path from player to coach within the Pirate organization and is the first to make the transition. Although he is a young coach, Coach J brings a direct old school mentality to his coaching that proved effective in his stint as DC during this past season.

Head Coach TJ Malave had this to say:

"It was an absolute no brainier when he expressed interest in the position. Not only do I prioritize elevating people inside our organization, I already knew what his preparation and work ethic was like and what that could bring to our offense. This side of the ball needs the right focused person in charge of it and I know he is up to the task. Not only is he an overall good guy, he is a football guy with a high football IQ. The more of that we can build on the better we will become."

The Pirates have already begun work for the 2020 season and the mood out of camp is very positive. With core players having been established and an excellent group of free agent signings, 2020 looks to be a statement year for the 3rd year Pirate organization.
